| Pastor's
Welcome
Dear
Friend in Christ,
The Catholic Church extends across all boundaries and gathers people together from every race, language, and way of life to form the Body of Christ in the world today. She brings together into a single unity many different and diverse people, building them up in the love and peace that only God can give. We, the people of Holy Trinity Parish, recognize that while we are but a small part of the Church Universal, we share in her mission to make the presence of Christ visible everywhere.
God himself is a unity of Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Our parish, having the distinction of being dedicated in His very name, strives to make visible this very reality that we, though many, are one body.
Thank you for visiting us via this website.
We hope that it will give you a greater
sense of who we are at Holy Trinity Parish
as we strive to announce the Good News
in Northeast Nebraska. If you are a visitor
to our parish we welcome you and hope
you will visit us in person someday. If
you are a member of our parish we hope
that this site will keep you better connected
with what is happening in our faith community.
May
God—the Father, the Son, and the Holy
Spirit—bless you and keep you always in
His love!
Sincerely,
Reverend
Jeffery S. Loseke

Who
We Are
The
town of Hartington was founded in the
fall of 1883, and within a few months
the Catholic settlers of the town built
Holy Trinity Church. This new parish received
its first pastor in 1886, and was incorporated
into the Diocese of Omaha on September
10, 1887. Several years later, in 1901,
the parish built and opened Holy Trinity
School for the education of its youth.
Today,
Holy Trinity is made up of more than 580
households and educates more than 150
children in our PreK-6 school. Over 200
students attend Cedar Catholic Jr.-Sr.
High School, which Holy Trinity and five
other parishes support. Holy Trinity parishioners
continue to make a positive impact on
the Hartington community through their
involvement, leadership, and way of life
according to the Gospel message. Holy
Trinity is proud to celebrate 125 years
of faith and looks forward with hope to
a bright future in God’s grace.
